An earthquake of 3.9 sent a jolt across our apartment tonight. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was centered near Piedmont, 12 miles east across San Francisco Bay.

This was the only time I've ever heard anything from our neighbors across the hall. Everyone, just started yelling "Earthquake!" out our windows. It was fun to just yell real loud.

Maggie thought it was just our upstairs neighbors walking around -- as they normally do.

We might need to move.
