X-mas
I hauled in the best 15-yr-old Christmas loot ever. Walkie-talkies, a new stereo reciever, Charlie's Angels on DVD and a new backpack. I would love to go back and tell my highschool self that I'm keeping the dream alive!

She described her daughter as 5'3 and 110 pounds, "a little bitty thing."
"A petite 17-year-old, irate after seeing three men running from her home in the wee morning hours Tuesday, sprinted outdoors barefoot, clad in pajamas, outran one of the trespassers, tackled and straddled him, then hog-tied him with a rope until police arrived minutes later." full story

The headline should read:
Buffy doing wonders for teen confidence.

THE SPANISH ARMADA
"A ship carrying a dozen Scud-type missiles from North Korea was intercepted in the Arabian Sea on Tuesday, U.S. officials said. They said the missiles were believed to be headed for Yemen."

It's amazing the this whole WashPost article never mentions that it was actually a pair of Spanish war ships that stopped the shipment.

CORSETS
What the hell makes corsets so very attractive? They're constricting, unnatural, contortions of what would otherwise be perfectly fetching figures. But somehow, the act of a woman binding her ribs together and limiting breath and circulation is, I'm sort of embarrassed to say, kinda hot.

LUSTY LADIES
I love San Francisco! Unionized strippers!

"An exotic dancer who goes by the name Pixie hugs a friend following a rally, Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, in San Francisco. Workers at the nation's only unionized peep show walked the picket line Monday, complaining that the Lusty Lady is trying to cut their pay and sick time. (AP Photo/Noah Berger)"

KERRY
Run, John, Run.

ISABELLE
Here's what you need to know about getting past German police standing guard: they hold their post. No matter what, they won't move. So, if you have a tiny French woman who has to do both the First Lady's AND the Secretary of State's hair before the opening ceremony of the G7 Summit of World Leaders, then you should just RUN! If you can get her past the guards outside the hotel (because she never remembers her credentials) you can make it to American soil (The Hyatt.)

That was Cologne 1999. Now, she's causing real trouble:
Isabelle Goetz is the woman who finally got Mrs. Clinton's hair looking good, just before she ran for Senate. She tried with Secretary Albright - it didn't go as well. She's been doing Senator Kerry's hair in preparation for his 2004 bid for President. AND CHARGING THEM DIFFERENT PRICES.

She's going to bring down the Democratic Party before she's done.
